A Mormon Image: From on High

The title of and inspiration for this photograph of the Moroni statue atop Hill Cumorah in Palmyra comes from the text of Parley P. Pratt’s hymn “An angel from on High” (Hymns 13).

    I really like that statue. For some reason having his arm to the square rather than blowing a shofar just feels more powerful to me. (With all due apologies to the statues on top of modern temples)
