  1. Thank you all who helped us weary the Lord on this! All is well, all is well! I posted the good news last night and will post more details soon for those who are interested. Things worked so well that the doctors and nurses were bewildered by the recovery. They ended up sending us home shortly after noon today because our little Q-dog was so well he was bored and kept buzzing nurses and whatnot. They said this sort of thing usually takes 72 hours in the ICU and a couple of days in the Pediatric ward afterwards. A nurse also told me that the vast majority of kids they get in his condition remain “vegetables” (sorry, not my word) afterwards. We were getting all sorts of off-duty staff stopping by just to gawk at this boy who was (basically) in a coma in one night and asking for happy meals the next day.

With the number of righteous saints we had praying for Quinn’s brain we have been joyfully joking that he may come out of this smarter than he started!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! We got our miracle and you made a real difference.

  2. I’m happy to hear that your son is doing better, Geoff.

Keeping the nurses hopping because he’s bored — now that’s what a 3-year-old is supposed to be doing.
