LDS.org Has a Blog?

Yes indeed. Here it is:

https://www.lds.org/blog/

There is no banner and no blogroll. It is a blog with no name. Make your naming suggestions in the comments. Some of the posts, like “What My Kids Taught Me about Loving Anybody,” are by a named person. There is also a short bio giving the named author’s education and how many beautiful kids she has. (The Ensign stopped providing bio information for non-GAs about twenty years ago.) Some of the posts, like “How Will Your Goals Bring You Closer to Christ This Year?“, are by “LDS.org blog staff.” Who knew there were LDS.org blog staffers? I wonder if they are paid staffers or volunteers?

The very first post appeared on August 13, 2015: “Blessings of the Sabbath Day.”

It would be so awesome if this was Pres. Monson’s personal blog and he spent his time on how contemporary music sucks and it was so much better in the 80’s.

For some reason, the #1 theme by far is Sabbath observance. It’s almost half of the posts, judging just from the titles.

Very funny. The “blog” doesn’t accept comments. The stories ask discussion-like questions, but there is no place to comment.

Travis: That’s been a priority over the last year or so, shown up in leadership training, etc.

Am I the only one who’s really tired of all the pinterest-ready graphics coming from LDS social media channels?

A lot of people like them. It’s not what I find interesting but I know my interests and aesthetics are a small minority among American Mormons.

Is it still a blog if you can’t respond?
